rEVOLUTION PROJECT:

Join The Active Alliance!

Alike Allies and Partners
Ally relationships will exist as mutually benificial relationships with no monetary exchange but rather a mutual agreement of cooperation and advocacy. Partnerships will exist as mutually beneficial business relationships with potential revenue sharing possibilities.

Alike is building relationships with the following partners and allies:

(a) Community: As Alike’s first community partner, HaikuFilms.org aims to empower its community with their unique "interplay" learning exchange and active instructional design. By bridging mentors, teachers, artists, students and alike with a simple critical mass communication/learning tool, MAKENOTES, we hope to build evolving communities that share harmoniously. Many online communities will also benefit from Alike’s unique information and knowledge sharing technology. HaikuFilms is focusing on community allies who working towards better collaborative learning process via the Internet and the use of new media. These allies will include teachers' networks, homelearner (homeschool) networks as well as focused and open on/offline groups working towards positive change in our global community.

(b) Content:
With an open publishing model in place, Alike will encourage all communities to produce and share content. Since the Alike framework encourages the intelligent sharing of content, users will naturally want to create and share content. Community allies will spark content creation and will be essential to forming content ally relationships. But content allies need not be of an institutional scale since everyone can share in the Alike communities!

Alike is pursuing partnerships in the following realms:

(a) Commerce:
Alike’s eCommerce goals follow the same basic philosophy as its community- to empower individuals by giving them a positive and productive framework from which to share information and gain knowledge. Alike’s commerce partners must empower Alike’s community members. Alike’s eCommerce strategy is simple- create interesting commerce options and use revenues to support further development on the Alike collaborative community space.

(b) Technology:
Along with Alike spearheading the development effort, technology groups focused on building web based groupware as well as groups with experience creating browser plugins are being recruited to help in the development effort. Since Alike’s model is an open source model, all development will be done with the open source philosophy in mind. Alike will also be partnering with Application Service Providers (ASPs) to provide its users with a wealth of value added services.
